A Christmas Contradiction: Does the contemporary American Conservative Christian Republican hate itself?

The contemporary conservative Republican is practically fetishistic about “the founding fathers.”

It’s an easily proved fact that the US Founding Fathers didn’t care one way or another about Christmas.

The contemporary American Conservative Christian thinks there’s a “War on Christmas,” in spite of all evidence to the contrary.

The contemporary conservative Republican believes that immigration and undocumented immigrants are a huge problem that will somehow erode the so-called “American way of life.”

It’s easily provable that Christmas only started to become a big deal in the US after the mid-19th century, after several waves of immigration from Germany, Italy, and England, where local Christmas festivities are a BIG deal.

Since immigration brought Anericans their contenporary Christmas traditions, but if immigration is a problem, this means that either the contemporary American Conservative Christian Republican is wrong about some combination of immigration, the so-called “war on Christmas,” and Christmas in general, especially as it relates to their own religion.

This is why I tend to feel sorry for them.  That level of self-hatred must be terrible for the heart.
