Gender and Transgender in Modern Paganism available from Circle of Cerridwen

I just noticed T. Thorn Coyle’s blog mentioning this, and so I thought I’d post a link here, cos it might be of interest to some of the people reading this blog:

Gender and Transgender in Modern Paganism

It’s a free PDF, or available in hardcopy via Lulu for $8.88. I intend to get a hardcopy, eventually, but for now the PDF will do me fine.

It’s pretty much a collection of informal essays written in the wake of last year’s Pcon/CAYA Coven Amazons “women only —except those yucky ‘transies1‘” shitstorm, which was quickly (or rather slowly, in Internet terms) followed by Z Budapest proving what a total embarrassment she is (it’s in the un-linkable comments.

1: I really have no idea where Ms. Budapest got that one; that was the first I’d heard or seen that rather than “tranny” or “he/she/it” or similar.
